Transitioning into Childcare

Helping your family transition to KidsPlay Early Learning Centre

At KidsPlay Childcare, we understand that every child and family is unique. That’s why we have developed a step-by-step orientation process to make the transition into regular childcare as smooth and supportive as possible. Our goal is to ensure your child feels safe and secure, while you feel confident that they will thrive in our care.

Orientation Sessions

Each orientation session typically lasts around one hour, giving you the opportunity to:

These sessions are an important part of settling into our early learning centres, so we recommend at least two orientation sessions so that both you and your child can feel comfortable and confident. Additional sessions can be arranged if needed.

Supporting Your Child’s Transition

Our educators play a key role in gathering information from you to better understand your child’s personality, routines, and preferences. This allows us to:

Spending time with your child during orientation helps them see the positive relationship you have with their educators, which strengthens the bond between your child and our team.

Ongoing Communication

We believe that open communication between families and educators is essential. Educators will share updates about your child’s day, learning experiences, and achievements, giving you insights into their progress and ideas for continuing conversations at home. During your enrolment appointment, we will go over all the ways we communicate with families.

We are also available by phone at any time to discuss your child’s experiences or answer questions, ensuring you feel supported throughout the transition as your child grows within our early learning centre programs.

At KidsPlay ELC, our aim is to make the move from home to the centre as smooth and positive as possible. Your feedback is valued at every step, helping us create an environment where children feel secure, engaged, and excited to learn.
